The Magic Sauce To Foster Store Associates’ Growth: Alignment, Agility And Engagement

Recently, my company conducted a research study in conjunction with Coyle Hospitality Group. While we wanted to find out what the holiday season would look like for retailers and how it would feel for consumers during the pandemic, we also found an unexpected gem in our analysis that I can’t stop thinking about. There was a direct correlation between Glassdoor ratings and store execution.

Specifically, the study found that retail companies with ratings above 3.5 on Glassdoor performed 15% better than those with Glassdoor ratings below 3.5. This difference was even greater when it came to personal interactions such as approaching the shopper regarding sales/specials or greeting the shopper.
