Summer Camp 2024: Elevating Retail Support with Conversational AI

We are thrilled to announce that Zippy, Zipline’s conversational AI assistant, is officially here, launching out of beta and available to all customers today!

At last year’s Summer Camp, we unveiled our proof of concept for our trusted and knowledgeable on-demand conversational AI companion, aptly named Zippy. This year, we were excited to highlight the progress since then and share the stage with early bird adopters to outline how Zippy has evolved to support resource governance, bolster associate confidence, and more.

Our panelists shared their journeys, including the ins and outs of how they implemented Zippy, and offered valuable insights on optimizing resource libraries for AI use. From reducing helpdesk tickets to saving time on policy searches, the benefits of Zippy were clear. And the best part? We heard firsthand how giving Zippy a personality (like Pacsun’s “Chaddy” or Visionworks’ “Zippy”) has made the AI feel like a trusted colleague, boosting adoption and engagement.

Designed to provide quick, accurate answers to a wide range of questions, Zippy pulls data directly from the Zipline Resource Library. Whether it’s about policies, promotions, products, or procedures, Zippy is like having a seasoned coworker available at all times.

Over the past year, we’ve partnered with several retailers to test and refine Zippy. Here are some real-world applications and benefits:
