At this year’s Summer Camp, retail operations professionals came together to exchange ideas, see new tools in action, and explore how leading brands are solving today’s most urgent challenges. A key part of the event was showcasing companies that are helping retailers improve execution, simplify tech stacks, and support the frontline.
We featured three partners whose capabilities align closely with Zipline’s product and vision. Each one addresses a critical operational area — labor planning, training, and inventory movement — and is already working with Zipline customers to improve outcomes.

Legion: Aligning Labor Plans with Real-World Needs
Legion provides workforce management software that helps retailers schedule labor more efficiently while also giving employees greater flexibility and control. Their platform uses AI to automate routine processes like shift scheduling and time tracking.
At Summer Camp, Legion joined conversations about the benefits of connecting workforce planning with communication. When scheduling information is visible in the same place as tasks and messages, store teams can operate with more clarity and less friction.
Modern Training: Delivering Effective L&D at Scale
Modern Training helps retailers create and deploy effective training content without requiring large in-house teams. Their services include custom instructional design and a library of pre-built modules. Retailers use Modern Training to onboard employees, support new initiatives, and drive consistent execution across stores.
At Summer Camp, they met with Zipline customers to discuss how learning and communication intersect. Several customers have used Modern Training to stand up learning programs quickly while keeping the experience tailored to frontline needs.
Zipline and Modern Training are exploring the potential for a content marketplace that would bring learning materials directly into the Zipline platform. These conversations are still early, but interest is high among retailers looking to simplify their training operations.
Onebeat: Improving Store-Level Inventory Execution
Onebeat develops tools that help retailers respond more quickly to changes in demand by adjusting inventory flows in near real time. They recently launched an integration with Zipline that allows store-specific inventory updates, such as transfer instructions, to be delivered through Zipline’s existing communication workflows.
This solution is now live with Busy Beaver, a shared customer. The integration allows Onebeat to trigger Zipline Messages based on data insights, ensuring that stores act on updates without needing to monitor separate tools.
For operations professionals, Summer Camp was a chance to see how modern tools work together to support execution in fast-moving, complex environments. Legion, Modern Training, and Onebeat each address a specific need — and when used alongside Zipline, they help reduce friction and increase clarity for store teams.
